Camp „Fënsterdall

Looking for a scouting camping ground in the middle of Luxembourg?

So you are welcome at the camping ground “Fënsterdall” situated on a clearing inside a forest. This unique official camp is reachable by private or public transport means. It is one of the most attractive options for a back-to-the-roots adventure camp.

Description of the camp facilities:

The infrastructure is limited to basic equipment:
·    A rainy arrival or an early departure is back-upped by a refuge open for walkers and campers.
·    A central fireplace is fit for your camp night vigils.
·    The idyllic campsite is accessible for transports and equipped by 6 parking spots.
·    The camping site is suited for groups up to a maximum of 100 guides and scouts.
·    The nearest food and shopping facilities are located in neighboring city of Mersch.

Please be aware that any electricity is provided on site.

Available services on the camp site?

Between Easter and Allhallows the following camp services are organized:
·    A drinking water pipe is provided for camp users.
·    Chemical toilets are supplied during the camping season.
·    The waste removal is assured. Please recycle. Be aware about Nature!
·    Wood for scouting constructions is available from a trailor on demand in advance only (at least two weeks) during the stay at the camp; this service can be asked in the application form; wasted or squandered construction wood will be billed.

You can collect dead wood in the surrounded forest as firewood supply for kitchen and campfire use. Respect the living forest!

Which regional activities are possible?

In the heart of a mythical region, you can explore the Valley of the Seven Castles; discover the isolated “Hëlperknapp” dedicated to Saint Willibrord, track the official walking pads through the sandstone cavern landscape “Mamer Leeën” or hike through the deep surrounding forests. Find your limits in the Marienthal-youth climbing school: on appointment only under www.snj.lu.To book a stopover in the nearby Hollenfels youth-hostel with more youth activities: ckeck www.cajl.lu.
Official RGTR-bus service between “Openthalt” and the CFL-railwaystation in Mersch is enabling your visits throughout Luxembourg. For precise schedule go online to Mobilitéitszentral

The camping place is managed by “Lëtzebuerger Guiden a Scouten A.s.b.l.”
